PRESTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A single-engine plane made an emergency landing off of Route 12 in Preston late Saturday afternoon after the pilot reported engine issues according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
State police said the plane landed in an area adjacent to Route 12 just before 6 p.m.
The FAA said two people were on board. State police said no one was injured.

State police said the tower at Groton / New London Airport and the CT Airport Authority have been informed of this incident.
The CT Airport Authority said “We are aware of an incident in that area and the FAA has been notified. We are respectfully deferring to the FAA for any further information.”
The FAA and the NTSB will investigate.
