Police identify man killed in East Lyme crash

Police have identified the man who was killed and the two others injured in a head-on crash in East Lyme that happened on Saturday night. 

Police say that at around 11 p.m., emergency crews responded to a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Flanders Road (Route 161).

Chad Ebersole, 35, of Niantic was pronounced dead on scene. 

His passenger, 21-year-old Lily Chalifour, also of Niantic, was flown by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital. Her current condition is unknown. 

The driver of the other vehicle, 29-year-old Travis Gauvin, of Norwich, was also flown to Hartford Hospital. There is no word on his condition at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
