Police search for 3-year-old taken from hospital by biological mother

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are continuing their search for a child who was allegedly taken from a New London hospital by her biological mother who does not have parental custody.

According to police, on Wednesday, officials responded to Lawrence+Memorial Hospital following a report that a child, who was a patient there, had been taken.

Officials determined that the child, 3-year-old Zaniyah Bullette, was taken by her biological mother, India Quinones.Original Story: Silver Alert issued for 3-year-old from New London

Police say Quinones does not have parental custody of Bullette.

Authorities describe Bullette as a girl with brown hair and brown eyes who stands around 2’6″ and weighs approximately 40 pounds.

Quinones was last seen operating a Honda Civic that is dark in the front with a light-colored front hood and an unknown Connecticut license plate.
