Police: Wrong-way driver arrested in Griswold following 4-vehicle crash

GRISWOLD, Conn. (WTNH) - A man accused of driving the wrong way on Interstate 395 in Griswold is facing charges.

According to officials, on Sunday units responded to the northbound side of the highway in the area of Exit 24.

Police soon discovered a four-vehicle collision and said they developed reason to believe 57-year-old Jeffrey Decker of New London was operating his vehicle the wrong way.

Decker was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, reckless driving and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

He was held on a $3,500 cash/surety bond and will appear in court on April 25th.
