Two pedestrians struck and killed by vehicle in Stonington

New London

Stonington Police say two pedestrians have been killed when they were struck by a vehicle Saturday Night.

According to police, the two pedestrians had just left Latitudes Restaurant on Greenmanville Road / Route 27 and were crossing the road walking toward the parking lot when they were struck.

The driver of the car did stop. The road was closed in the area it has since reopened.

Police do have the names of all of those involved but are not releasing them at this time.  They do say the pedestrians were a male and female and the driver is female.   Police could not tell us the ages of them.
