Single-engine plane lands on belly causing damage at Oxford Airport

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A plane attempting to land became inoperable at Waterbury-Oxford Airport Saturday, according to the Connecticut State Police.

The single-engine plane attempted to land on runway 18 when its landing gear became inoperable, causing it to skid down the runway and rest on its belly. 

Following this, the plane had to be removed from the runway.

FAA is investigating.
