SNAP-eligible households in CT receiving additional emergency food benefits Saturday

(WTNH) — People who get food stamps in Connecticut are getting a major boost this weekend.

$32 million in emergency SNAP benefits will be delivered to more than 216,000 households on Saturday.

This federal funding will provide a minimum of $95 in extra food aid to all enrolled families and individuals that raises the state’s total emergency SNAP funding to more than $438 million since the pandemic began.
