State launching new program designed to prevent homelessness for released inmates

Connecticut

(WTNH) — The state is launching a new program to help those re-entering society.

An initial grant of nearly $150,000 funding the program is meant to coordinate housing solutions for those who are coming out of incarceration, like assisting with housing-related costs, moving expenses and security deposits.

This initiative is all in an effort to prevent homelessness in the state.
