State lawmaker set to discuss bridge deficiencies in Connecticut


A state lawmaker is highlighting the need to repair bridges in our state.

There are more than 300 bridges in Connecticut that are considered structurally deficient.

Senator Saud Anwar says extensive repairs are necessary for both bridges and state roads, and Connecticut needs to find new solutions for the problem.

He’ll be at the Main Street Bridge in South Windsor Tuesday morning to bring attention to the issue.
