State Senate passes PTSD benefits bill, amendment proposed to include EMTs

Connecticut

The State Senate has passed a bill regarding Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder benefits Thursday evening.

They had to table it Wednesday night after someone threw in an amendment to add volunteer EMTs and corrections officers to the coverage.

The main bill only wanted to give benefits to police officers, volunteer and career firefighters.

The bill now heads to the House.
