VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — An 11-year-old girl was hit by a car in Vernon and was brought to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.
It happened at 118 Prospect Street on Saturday afternoon. The road is closed for the foreseeable future, according to police.
The driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with authorities.
