Road Reopens in Tolland after downed tree and wires knock out power

A road in Tolland has reopened after a fallen tree and wires knocked out power for hundreds of people.

Firefighters and Eversource responded to section of Reed Road in the area of number 30 after a tree fell and took down wires around 7:30 a.m.

The road was closed for much of the morning. 

There is no word on what may have caused the tress and wires to go down. 

Officials say power has been fully restored in the area.
