The University of Connecticut is receiving a special recognition on Friday.
The university will officially be designated a “heart safe campus,” the state’s first university or college to earn the designation.
This is based on the number of “Automatic External Defibrillators” on campus and the number of community members trained in CPR.
The designation applies to the Storrs campus, UConn School of Law and all regional campuses!
