(WTNH) — A voluntary recall of Hill’s Pet Nutrition canned dog food has been issued by the company after elevated amounts of Vitamin D was found in Hill’s Prescription Diet and Hill’s Science Diet products.
This recall was expanded after the same vitamin pre-mix which led to a voluntary recall on January 31, 2019 has happened once again.
Elevated levels of Vitamin D in dogs can cause potential health issues, including renal dysfunction. If your dog exhibits signs of illness after consumption of the dog food, contact your veterinarian immediately.
No Hill’s dry foods, cat foods or treats are affected.
