Warming centers opening up around Connecticut amid cold weather

(WTNH) - Some cities and towns are opening warming centers to get people out of the cold.

In Waterbury, you can go to the Center for Human Development on East Main Street.

Joseph House and the community soup kitchen are open in Torrington.

The City of New Haven will also activate its Severe Weather Cold Weather Protocol on Wednesday morning. There, libraries and senior centers will be open as warming centers.

In Madison, the Madison Senior Center will serve as a warming location on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. It is located at 29 Bradley Road.
