White powder substance evacuates Danbury court

DANBURY, Conn. (WTNH)– The superior court in Danbury has been evacuated Thursday morning due to a white powder substance.

Mayor Mark Boughton says that fire crews are on scene at the superior courthouse at 146 White Street for an unknown white powder substance.

The building has been evacuated and officials are in the process of testing the substance.

It’s unclear when people will be allowed back in the building.
