KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTNH) – Crews are battling a fire Thursday morning at a former mill in Killingly, according to officials.

The fire occurred just before 1 a.m. at 248 Ballouville Road and crews from at least nine other stations are currently working to put out the fire.

Electricity has been shut off in the area but power is expected to be restored Thursday afternoon.

Due to the fire, officials said Ballouville Road from Clover Court to Chestnut Hill and Chestnut Hill from Ballouville Road to Ware Road are closed. There is no ETA as to when the roads will reopen.

No further information has been released at this time. News 8 is working to learn more about the fire and if there are any injuries reported.
