A silver alert issued out of Dayville, becoming more urgent as state police bring in detectives and canine units to search for missing 13-year-old Abayneah May.
Her father talking to News8 on the front porch their home this evening, visibly upset with a message for his daughter.
“We love you, we want you home. Whatever drove you to run, we want you home, we will work it out!”
And another one to the person who took her away.
“To anybody who took my daughter, she’s only 13-years-old. She is very naïve, very smart, brilliant, artistic, and we need her home!”
Family and friends have hung up hundreds of missing flyers on telephone poles and signs by the side of the road. 13-year-old Abayneash May disappeared from her house on Clover Court in Dayville several days ago. She left behind her winter coat, her prescription glasses, and her shoes.
There was a heavy state police presence in the neighborhood Wednesday afternoon. Sgt. Eric Haglund of the Connecticut State Police said this is the second search of the neighborhood in two days.
“Earlier today detectives from eastern major crime and Connecticut State Police canine units and rescue teams responded to the residence to conduct a secondary search which resulted in negative findings,” Sgt. Haglund said.
Police are asking if you have any information to call them at Troop D in Danielson. The May family adopted Abaynesh from Ethiopia in 2007.
