One injured in helicopter crash in Woodstock, State Police say


WOODSTOCK, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police Troop D responded to a helicopter crash in Woodstock Saturday afternoon.

Troopers said that at around 2:18 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the area of Bungay Hill Road for multiple reports of a down aircraft.

Troopers said that three people were in the aircraft. One person was transported to the hospital via Lifestar with non-life-threatening injuries, according to State Police.

According to State Police, the aircraft was an Enstrom helicopter, bearing tail number N899RT.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time.

FAA responded to the scene and will be assuming the investigation, troopers said.
