A car crash is under investigation in Plainfield after a vehicle hit a mailbox and a home early Sunday morning.
According to officials, around 1:45 a.m., units responded to the collision on Collelo Avenue.
At the scene, police learned that a vehicle being operated by a 62-year-old Taftville woman was traveling on the road when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a mailbox and a large boulder. The vehicle then reentered the roadway and struck a residence.
The driver and her 59-year-old passenger were transported to local hospitals for treatment of possible minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is not known at this time.
