Plainfield PD: Danielson man passes police car in No Passing Zone while under the influence


Plainfield police arrested a Danielson man for allegedly driving drunk and passing a No Passing Zone early Saturday morning.

Police said Richard Hall, 39, sped passed a police cruiser in a No Passing Zone on Norwich Road around 12:24 a.m.

When police pulled Hall over, he exited his car and started screaming at the officer. Police said Hall disobeyed their verbal commands and resisted when police restrained him, which resulted in Hall’s arrest.

Upon investigation, police found powdered Fentanyl in Hall’s car, as well as several opened alcohol containers.

Hall received several charges, including Drinking while Driving, Narcotics possession, and passing in a No Passing Zone.

Hall was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on May 28.
