Gas prices are on the rise across the nation, and Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal wants the federal government to do something about it.

He was at a Shell station in Hartford on Tuesday, calling on President Donald Trump to take action to lower prices.

“He can exert pressure on Saudi Arabia and all the OPEC nations. He can also pursue action through the World Trade Organization — the WTO,” Sen. Blumenthal said.

The average price of gas in Connecticut is $3.15, up three cents in the last week alone.
