CT Limo customers stranded, companies pointing fingers

Michael was excited for his first day of vacation.  Then, he listened to a voicemail and confusion set in.

“An immediate morning panic. When I listened to the voicemail, I was like what the airline is closed down?” said Michael.

No, it wasn’t the airline.  It was his ride to the airport on Connecticut Limo. The voicemail said he wasn’t getting picked up for the reservation he made back on May 10th and paid $123 for.

They also said he had to contact his credit card company for a refund.

“From my perspective, it’s not good business,” said Michael.

So, we reached out to the Noon’s Limo Nasr Nashid which now owns this website www.CTlimo.com.  He did not want to go on camera, but over the phone he pointed the finger at the previous owner Andy Anastasio. They were located in New Haven along Middletown Avenue.

You can still see Connecticut Limo vehicles parked in their lot.  Nashid says when he took over back on May 1st, his entire fleet wasn’t ready. So, he says he had an agreement that Anastasio would handle some customers. Nashid says that didn’t happen.

Back in North Haven, Michael is packing and keeping a good outlook on the whole ordeal.

“We’ll find a way to get there and the flight is late. If it was an earlier flight, I’d be much more panicked,” said Michael.

We walked into the office at Anastasio Trucking this afternoon.

A woman who did not identify herself sent this statement on behalf of the company.

“Connecticut Limo has been a brand synonymous with airport transportation for over 50 years. Noon’s Limo wanted to continue that history of service, unfortunately, it seems, they grossly under estimated the commitment and amount of resources necessary to provide service to its customers. It’s fairly obvious that at the time operations transitioned to Noon’s Limo , there would be outstanding reservations that required service. It was Connecticut Limo’s understanding that Noon’s Limo would provide that service and make that transition as smooth as possible. That, however, did not occur. We are looking into this situation thoroughly and hope to resolve it as quickly as possible. For any customers experiencing issues to please call the customer service hotline at 2034973117.”

We did some digging and found out Connecticut Limo has an “F” rating with the Better Business Bureau.  Complaints have already poured in too.
