Coyotes still a concern in New London

News

Coyote concerns continue in New London.

For the past couple of years, coyotes have become more and more a part of the neighborhood in the south end of the city.

Many are seen during the day, even lounging on front lawns.

“We looked out the window a couple of weeks ago and it was sitting on our front walk very happy,” explained New London resident Dianne Sylvester.

Neighbors have learned to live with the coyotes, and just last year, students at Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School went door to door handing out coyote safety information.
