Crews extinguish 3-acre brush fire in Granby

Crews extinguished a brush fire in Granby on Wednesday afternoon.

According to officials, the blaze was first reported around 12:50 p.m.

Mountain Road was closed while crews responded to the scene near Silkey Road.

Authorities said the fire was about three acres in the size and that it destroyed a small outbuilding.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters from Hartland, Barkhamsted, East Granby, and Granville, Mass. assisted with the extinguishing efforts.

The blaze is under investigation.
