The fire broke out along Totoket Road.
Officials say the fire involved piles of tires catching fire.
There was no threat to surrounding homes or people.
Tankers had to be used because there aren’t any hydrants in the area.
“The flames were probably 60, 70 feet in the air and was producing a large amount of black smoke that was traveling in the north direction,” explained Fire Chief Bill Seward.
The fire crews used foam to suppress the heat and vapors from the fire.
