HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police have arrested three men after executing search warrants at two “City Gas” stations.

Hartford police say they have arrested three men, 50-year-old Shiraj Mohammed of Newington, 33-year-old Ahmed Mustak of Hartford, and 51-year-old Mohammed Shaheen of New Britain.

On Wednesday, Hartford police officers executed two search and seizure/ arrest warrants at two “City Gas” stations. Police say the Hartford PD Vice and Narcotics detectives had two search warrants for intellectual property violations, and the State of Connecticut Department of Revenue Services had several arrest warrants for individuals associated with the businesses.

While police executed the warrants, they found and seized 663 counterfeit knit winter hats. They also found 37 synthetic marijuana packs and 1022 grams of bath salts, which were hidden in the ceiling tiles. A large amount of untaxed cigarettes and $28,187 was also seized.

All three men have been charged with counterfeit stamps/ labels, possession of hallucinogenic, and possession with intent to sell.

Police say the business was closed down and locked after the operation, but after they left, it was burglarized by forced entry. Police are now investigating the burglary.
