Connecticut State Police to receive 800 new body cameras


After a long wait, Connecticut State Police are getting 800 new body cameras for troopers.

Officials say the cameras will be distributed statewide early this summer and eventually will be worn by all State Troopers.

Every trooper should have one by spring of 2019.

The $895,000 spent on the cameras comes from the U.S. Justice Department grant funding.
