CROMWELL, Conn. – Cromwell police responded to reports of an armed robbery at a Burger King on Berlin Road early Thursday morning.

Police way a Burger King employee was confronted outside the building by a man with a gun around 12:30 a.m. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, about 5′ 5″ with a slender build. They say he was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark blue jeans and a dark knit hat.

Police say the suspect tried to get into the restaurant, but it was already locked. They say he did make off with some personal effects belonging to the employee.

The employee was not injured. Police are still searching for the suspect. They believe he could be driving a light-colored Subaru station wagon. If you have any information, call Cromwell police at 1-860-635-2256.
