Fairfield police search for suspects in ATM burglaries

Police are searching for the suspects wanted for stealing an ATM from a Fairfield laundromat last week.

Police say that on Tuesday, November 20th, officers responded to Wash Tub Laundromat, at 332 Tunxis Hill Road, for the report of a burglary. An investigation revealed that an ATM was stolen from the business between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. after the front glass window was broken to gain entry.

Detectives also discovered that there was a similar incident in Stamford on November 5th where a glass window to a business there was broken and an ATM was taken.

Fairfield police released surveillance video from an adjacent building in hopes of identifying the suspects. They can be seen on camera getting out of one car and into another vehicle during the time of the burglary on the 20th, which was at 3:43 a.m.

Anyone with information on the suspects or burglary is urged to contact police at 203-254-4840.
