Hamden man charged in December apartment burglary


HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A Hamden man was arrested Monday for allegedly burglarizing a Hamden apartment last month.

Police say on December 3rd, officers responded to a residence on Third Street to the report of a burglary. An investigation later revealed that 48-year-old Gregory Edmonds had forcibly entered a basement apartment and stole several items, including a camera and blow dryer.

Police say the items that were stolen were worth $163 in value.

Officers were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Edmonds and he was apprehended at his home, which is also on Third Street.

Edmonds was charged with burglary and larceny. He was detained on a $10,000 bond and will appear in court on January 19th.
