Hartford police identify man killed on Greenfield St. Thursday morning

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – Hartford police are continuing to investigate a deadly shooting that happened on Thursday morning.

Around 11:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of Greenfield Street at Enfield Street on a Shot Spotter activation. When officers arrived, they located evidence of a shooting.

While officers were on scene, dispatch received a report of a car accident in the area of Greenfield Street at Oakland Terrace. When emergency crews arrived, they located the driver of the car unresponsive, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Lifesaving measures were applied until EMS arrived.

The victim, identified as 35-year-old Desmon Wray of Hartford, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The shooting remains under investigation.
