Hartford suspect arrested for allegedly stabbing victim 13 times


A Hartford woman was charged on Monday with a stabbing in the capital city.

According to the Hartford Police Department, police received a report of a serious stabbing on May 9 at 12:15 a.m. Upon investigation, police learned that a large group of around 20 people gathered in the area of 219 Harvard Street, at which point a woman was attacked and stabbed.

The victim was stabbed thirteen times in her face, chest, arm, and back. Two of her arteries were punctured.

Police continued investigation and drafted a warrant for the suspect, identified as18-year-old Ednnys Vicente. Vicente was located and arrested Monday morning.

Vicente has been charged with assault and is currently being held on $675,000 bond.Vicente is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
