Homeowner shoots at burglar in Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — A Windsor Locks homeowner shot at a man who broke into his home just before 10 p.m. Friday, police say.

According to officials, no one was home when the suspect broke in to the Acorn Drive residence through a garage window, but the homeowner was alerted and immediately responded. They say the homeowner fired one shot during an altercation. It’s not known if the suspect was hit.

Police describe the suspect as an approximately 30-year-old, 5’6″ tall, Caucasian or Asian man with a square-like face. They say he wore a tan baseball cap, a tan jacket, and dark pants.

Authorities say the suspect was last seen running towards Kate Way, and a white-colored Chevy sedan was seen leaving that area at a high rate of speed.
