New London police are an ongoing search for two suspects in an attempted robbery that occurred on Thursday night. 

New London police reported that at 6:53 p.m., a walk-in complainant at the New London Police Department reported that he was the victim an attempted robbery at around 6:30 p.m. near Boulder Dr. and Jefferson Ave.

The male complainant stated he was in the area to meet with a female to sell a cell phone he had posted on an internet site.

According to the police report, the man waited and was approached by two young males, one possibly black and the other possibly Hispanic, who he didn’t know that robbed him at gun point of the cell phone he was attempting to sell. 

The complainant stated that during the armed robbery, he drew his firearm and shot twice at the two suspects who ran off. 

No injuries were reported.

The area of the incident was secured and members of the Investigative Services Division responded to collect evidence.

Investigation is still ongoing.
