NORWICH, Conn. (WTNH) — State Police are investigating an East Main Street apartment four years after finding human remains in Montville.
In March of 2012, State Police were notified of a ‘suspicious finding’ in a wooded area of Oxoboxo Dam Road in Montville. Local children playing in the woods discovered the scene. Responding troopers found what appeared to be partially buried human remains. Those remains were later identified as 26-year-old Erika Cirioni. She had been missing since New Years Eve 2006.
On Wednesday, new information in the case sent police to an apartment at 450 East Main Street in Norwich. Details into what that new information was have not yet been released.
