Police are investigating after a man was shot in Bridgeport early Thursday morning.
Police say that at 12:18 a.m., citizens reported shots fired and a vehicle heard taking off in the area of Garden Street.
Minutes later, the staff at St. Vincent’s Medical Center told police that a man arrived at the hospital suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The victim had driven himself to the hospital in a private car. His identity has not been released.
According to police, shell casings were found in the vicinity of Garden Drive.
There is no word on any suspects or what led up to the shooting at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
