PD: Man stabbed during fight in New Haven

A New Haven man is in stable condition Friday after he was stabbed during a fight on Thursday afternoon.

Police say that at around 4:05 p.m., the stabbing occurred after several men got into a fight in the street at County and Goffe Streets.

A 25-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen and taken to the hospital for a non-life threatening wound. He is now in stable condition following surgery. 

The victim has not been identified and police say he has not revealed much information regarding the incident to detectives. 

According to police, the suspect in the stabbing is a black man in his sixties, who had on glasses and wore a gray hoodie and tan pants. He has not been apprehended at this tme.

The stabbing remains under investigation.
