Crime

A drug arrest was made in Milford Saturday after police say they found crack and heroin during a motor vehicle stop.

Police say that officers were conducting patrol in the area of Boston Post Road and Red Bush Lane when they observed suspicious activity and pulled over a vehicle.

The driver of the car, 23-year-old Toni Bartomeli, of Monroe, was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

She was charged with Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia but was released on a promise to appear.

Police then searched her passenger, 39-year-old Taron Stokes, of Naugatuck, and allegedly found heroin and crack cocaine prepackaged for sale.

Stokes was arrested and charged with Possession of Narcotics and Possession with Intent to Sell. He was held on a $20,000 bond.
