TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Torrington man is facing charges after police say he stabbed a woman.
According to police, officials responded to a local hospital where a victim in her early 30’s was suffering from a stab wound to the neck and cuts to her hands.
Following an investigation, police responded to French Street and arrested 28-year-old Luis Camacho-Ramirez.
Camacho-Ramirez is facing charges of Assault in the 1st Degree, Risk of Injury to a Minor, and Breach of Peace. Police say he knew the victim prior to the incident.
Officials say a child was at the scene during the alleged crime but was unharmed.
Camacho-Ramirez is being held on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
