Stratford police are investigating an armed home invasion that left one man injured after he grabbed one of the suspect’s knives early Monday morning.

Police say that at around 4:15 a.m., an armed home invasion was reported on Light Street, in which three men had entered the home and demanded money from the residents.

One of the residents eventually grabbed a knife held by one of the home invaders. The suspects then fled from the home.

The victim was injured when he grabbed the blade and cut his hand. However, his injury is non-life threatening and no other injuries were reported.

Police say that it appears that the residents were specifically targeted and that this was not a random act.

The incident remains under investigation.
