Putnam police search for man involved in Chinese buffet robbery


PUTNAM, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are searching for a man who robbed a Chinese buffet in Putnam Sunday afternoon.

Putnam police received a report of a robbery at the Empire Buffet on Providence Pike around 3:45pm on Sunday.

Police say a masked man entered the restaurant and proceeded to steal the cash register with an undisclosed amount of cash inside.

He was seen fleeing the scene in a gray 2013 Toyota Venza with the Massachusetts license plate 3LHH986. Investigators say that car had been reported stolen.
