SUFFIELD, Conn. (WTNH)– Police are looking for the two men who robbed a store in Suffield and then tried to cash in stolen lottery tickets last month.
Police say on April 10th, they responded to the Fas Mart at 801 Thompsonville Road after the burglar alarm went off at 2 a.m. When they arrived on the scene, officers found the front door glass broken and a trail of cigarette boxes going from the front door towards the road.
Police later discovered that several cigarette boxes, as well as lottery tickets, were stolen from the store and that some of those lotto tickets were found in the front yard of 585 Thompsonville Road. After speaking with occupants of that residence, officers were able to identify the suspects as 24-year-old Tyler Cosgrove and 22-year-old Joshua Carr.
While the men weren’t located that night, they were captured on surveillance video attempting to cash in some of the stolen lottery tickets in Enfield the next day. Suffield police are now looking for the public’s help in locating Cosgrove and Carr.
Police have a warrant to charge Cosgrove with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit, Larceny, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny, and Criminal Mischief. Carr will be charged with Burglary, Larceny, and Criminal Mischief.
