Cruisin’ Connecticut – A Magical Adventure at the Faerie Houses in Old Lyme

News

OLD LYME, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Old Lyme, home of the Florence Griswold Museum. The 13-acre property is hosting “Faerie Houses Around the World & Across the Ages!”

With 32 handmade tiny faerie houses, many crafted by local artists. The faerie village offers families and groups an opportunity to get in touch with nature!

Museum Director and artist, David Rau explains his handcrafted faerie house:

I decided to go ahead with a Barcelona. I saw when I was visiting my sister in phoenix these dead cactus ribs just lying there. I said this a perfect fairy structure and I must have this. I put these little café tables here so you could enjoy while looking at the fairy house but unfortunately, nothing gets served.

Check out the faerie house adventure the whole month of October. Click here for more information.
