Cruisin’ Connecticut – Jumping into the ring at “Pro Wrestling Academy” in Cheshire

News

CHESHIRE, Conn. (WTNH) – Today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Cheshire, where you can jump over the turnbuckle and into the ring at the “Pro Wrestling Academy!”

Pro wrestler, Peter Schmidtke (AKA “Joseph Von Schmidt” in the ring), started the academy to pave the way for the future of wrestlers.

Schmidtke says:

My priority is making the wrestlers safe. There is a lot of high action, high intensity, falling, hitting, etc. When they put all of that together and they’re safe, then I’m proud.

The Pro Wrestling Academy offers training to wrestling fanatics and hopeful professionals. They feature Friday night fight shows, where you can see some of Connecticut’s most entertaining up-and-coming wrestlers!

Schmidtke and crew helped me develop my wrestling character name: “Pretty Boy Fluff Fluff.” How flattering.
