Cruisin’ Connecticut – Scares Galore at the Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce

News

BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) – With Halloween just around the corner, today we’re Cruisin’ Connecticut to Lake Compounce in Bristol at the “Haunted Graveyard.”

Retired history teacher, Ernie Romegialli started the popular haunt in his front yard in Middletown 26 years ago.

It started in my yard when my daughter was 6 years old. She was diagnosed with diabetes, we decorated the yard to keep her mind off the candy and then three years later we just outgrew the yard, 6,000 people in the yard my wife told me to move on to something bigger.

Now the attraction has grown to be a fan favorite at Lake Compounce! Romegialli designs and builds all of the sets, that are home for haunts of up to 9,000 visitors on the busiest nights.

The Haunted Graveyard is a 45-minute walk over a mile, with more than 14 themed “houses” and over 200 ghouls.

Check it out this Friday, Saturday and Sunday just in time for Halloween!Know of cool people, places or events to check out for “Cruisin’ Connecticut?” Email me, or let me know on: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat: @RyanKristafer
