UNCASVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) – Today, we’re revving up and “Cruisin’ Connecticut” to Uncasville! This weekend kicks off the Barrett-Jackson car auction at Mohegan Sun.
A world renowned car auction, Barrett-Jackson makes its first-ever Northeast debut. The sold-out event is projected to attract 60,000 engine enthusiasts, taking an interest in the over 560 unique vehicles up for auction.
The car auction has been declared as the largest event in casino history. Barrett-Jackson, CEO, Craig Jackson presents the auctions as a lifelong passion:
“I grew up in it, I grew up as a car restorer, so I love the cars. I’m trying to pass this onto the next generation. The comradery that you have with car collecting is very unique and they’ve helped us raise over 90 million for charity, and we’re selling six charity cars here, but the outpouring from people that just love what we do and the enthusiasm…first year, we’ve pretty much filled Mohegan Sun.”
