CT State Police to hold informational session for recruitment in Meriden


Connecticut State Police are hoping to recruit more women onto the force.

A “Women in Policing” informational session will be held at the academy in Meriden at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Women troopers assigned to patrol and specialized units like Major Crime and Firearms training will discuss their background, current assignments, and experiences as a state trooper.

Troopers invite guests Wednesday between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Connecticut Police Academy on 285 Preston Avenue in Meriden.

Police would like to let interested applicants know that they can only apply during the open application process, which will be conducted online only. Once available, the application can be found at www.jobapscloud.com/CT.  

Police also encourage those interested to their social media pages for additional information about our selection process, qualifications and hiring process updates.
