DEEP identifies body recovered in Connecticut River


The body of a man who went missing while swimming in the Connecticut River on Sunday evening has been recovered in Lyme on Tuesday. 

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection confirms that they have recovered the body of 42-year-old  Edwin Adino, of Meriden, in the Connecticut River.

DEEP had suspended their search Monday for Adino after he went missing while swimming in the Connecticut River in the area of the Hadlyme Ferry on Sunday evening.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The incident remains under investigation.
