DMV cancels Thursday road tests


WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — The impending snowstorm has prompted the cancellation of all road tests conducted by the Department of Motor Vehicles on Thursday.

The DMV says any scheduled tests have been cancelled and that instructions for rescheduling them have been sent out.Weather: Get the latest forecast from Storm Team 8

Officials are reminding drivers to remove snow and ice from hoods, trucks and roofs of vehicles to avoid facing any fines or penalties.

Drivers are exempt from facing fines if the snow, sleet or freezing rain begins or continues while the vehicle is traveling. Parked vehicles are also exempt from the fines.
